What information we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you engage us for financial planning, financial advice, mortgage advice and investment management services. This information will relate to your personal and financial circumstances. It may also include special categories of personal data such as data about your health, if this is necessary for the provision of our services.
To fulfil our regulatory obligations in respect of prevention of money-laundering and other financial crime we send your details to third party agencies for identity verification purposes.
The personal data we collect on you will only be collected for a specific and legitimate purpose. We will not use it for a different purpose from that which we first disclosed. We may also collect information when you voluntarily complete client surveys or provide feedback to us.
We will not use your personal data for another purpose without your consent to do so.
Information relating to usage of our website is collected using cookies. These are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. We may use your information collected via our website to personalise your repeat visits to the site.

Why we need to collect and use personal data?
The primary legal basis for the processing of your personal data is for the performance of our contract with you. The information that we collect about you is essential for us to be able to carry out the services that you require from us effectively. In addition, without collecting your personal data we would be unable to fulfil our legal and regulatory obligations.
Where special category data is required, we’ll obtain your explicit consent in order to collect and process this information.
How we use the information about you?
We collect information about you in order to provide you with the services for which you engage us.
If you agree by signing our Consent form, we may contact you, in accordance with your marketing preferences, to inform you about other products or services that we think may be of interest to you.
If you’ve agreed to receive marketing information, you may opt out later. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please let us know by email or post. We will never share your information for marketing purposes with other companies without your consent.
Who we might share your information with?
In order to deliver our services to you effectively, we may send your personal data to third parties such as those that we engage for professional compliance, accountancy or legal services as well as product providers and platform service providers that we use to arrange financial products for you. If we recommend you use a discretionary investment manager to manage your investments, we will need to share some information with them.
Where third parties are involved in processing your data, we’ll have a contract in place with them to ensure that the nature and purpose of the processing is clear, that they are subject to a duty of confidence in processing your data and that they’ll only act in accordance with our written instructions.
We regularly review these third parties’ data protection procedures to ensure your personal data is always held safely. Where it’s necessary for your personal data to be forwarded to a third party we’ll use appropriate security measures to protect your personal data in transit. Where data is sent electronically the email will be encrypted and password protected. Where the data has to be sent by post it will be sent by Royal Mail Recorded delivery.
Where we need to share data with platform service providers, we will ensure that these websites are accessed from computers that are only on the Grosvenor Wealth Management network. This is to ensure that the computer is protected by computer encryption & web protection, anti-virus & anti-spyware software. In addition, we will only access websites that are protected by a secure certificate (SSL), the connection is over HTTPS and a secure login is required.
How long we can hold your personal data
In principle, your personal data shouldn’t be held for longer than it’s required under the terms of our contract for services with you. However, we’re subject to regulatory requirements to retain your personal data for specified minimum periods, in some cases this is indefinite. We also reserve the right to retain your personal data for longer than this, due to the possibility that it may be required to defend a future claim against us. In most case, we’ll retain your personal data for no longer than 30 years.
You have the right to request that we delete of your personal data (known as the ‘right to be forgotten’). We’ll comply with this request, subject to the restrictions of our regulatory obligations and legitimate interests referred to above.

As explained in our Privacy Notice there are certain categories of personal data that are sensitive by nature. These categories include: data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership and data concerning health.
Depending on the nature of the products and services that you engage us for, we may need to obtain your sensitive personal data particularly in relation to health.
